Nami Dogri Sanstha (NDS) organised a mega dogri kavi goshti at Kala Kendra Jammu, Wherein about sixty five literary personalities of dogri participated and thirty poets drawn from various areas of duggar ie Sudha mahadev, Dudu, Reasi, Kathua, Samba, Udhampur, Rajouri, Sunderbani , Billawar, R S Pura recited their dogri poetry.
Capt Lalit Sharma IFS and well known dogri poet presided over the Poetic Meet and he was accompanied on the dias by prominent literary personalities which comprise Krishan Lal Sharma recipient of Sahitya Academy award thrice,
Satya Paul Gadwalia senior poet and writer, Pangotra Mangal Dass Doga Ji, famous writer and Randhir Singh Raipuria a poet of masses.
The poets who read their poetry include S/Shri T R Magotra , Ajit Jaiswal, Madan Magotra , Sopaan Mohammad , M S Kamara, Sathi Salgotra, Neelam Verma, Sanjay Kapil, Neha Sharma, Sunaina Kaila, Mohinder Singh Mandawa, Chanchal Dogra, Abdul Qadir Kundria, Brij Mohan, J S Babli, Arun Banathia , Girdhari Lal Rahi, Chaman Lal Sagoch, Ramesh Rahi, P L Parihar , Ramesh Singh, Devender Mishra, Rakesh Sharma Tript, Sheikh Fiaz Duggar ki Khak, Narinder Singh Chib, C S Katal, Gopal Dass, Randhir Singh Raipuria and Capt Lalit Sharma. Sham Pal from Sudh Mahadev and Arjun Singh Manhas presented a lok geet each in their melodious voice and made the goshti vibrant. Veens Dogra and Yash Pal Yash General Secretary of NDS compered the programme.
Capt Lalit Sharma expresses his views on each and every poetic item read in the Poetic Meet. He stresses upon the unification of the literary fraternity so as to synergise their efforts to strengthen the duggar society.
Prof Anupama Sharma Patron NDS emphasized upon the need of good and innovative music to popularise dogri language.
Advocate Dogra Harish Kaila President NDS said that all the NDS branches shall be reactivated .
Krishan Lal Sharma said that scribes are mirror of the society and show the society it’s really image with positivity and devotion.
Satya Paul Gadwalia said that it is collective responsibility to connect our new generation with dogri language and duggar culture.
Pangotra Mangal Dass Dogra said that we should disseminate our great history and proud heritage to our new generation through our writings so that they feel pride in, their heritage.
Randhir Sing Raipuria said that time demands that we created a strong movement to popularize our dogri language and it’s culture. .
Raj Rishi Sharma said that collective efforts need to be made to crate intrest in new generation to read books and literature to create an aware society.
