Tawi Welfare Society (Regd.), in collaboration with Sri Sri Rural Development Programme Trust (Art of Living), organised a highly successful Awareness Programme at Apnavan, Suray Chak, witnessing enthusiastic participation from a large number of women, men, youth and children from the area. The programme commenced with a welcome address by Sh. Yash Paul Mangotra, General Secretary, Tawi Welfare Society, who highlighted the importance of awareness initiatives in building a healthy, informed and progressive society. The proceedings were conducted by Sh. Nand Kishor, Senior Member of the Society. Sh. Savinder Gupta Ji, Owner of National Institution of Technology and Science, attended the programme as the Special Guest.
During the programme, Ms. Avneet Kour delivered an informative lecture on nutrition, balanced diet and healthy eating habits. She explained how nutritious food can be prepared from ingredients commonly available in households and emphasized the importance of proper eating habits, meal timings and avoiding unhealthy food choices.
Ms. Sakshi spoke on health management, personal hygiene and stress reduction. She highlighted the importance of cleanliness, safe drinking water, hygienic food practices and maintaining a clean environment for preventing diseases. She also shared practical tips on stress management, healthy living and preventive healthcare, emphasizing that good health depends upon a balanced lifestyle, positive thinking and proper hygiene.
Another insightful session was jointly conducted by Ms. Radhika and Ms. Vaishali, who educated participants about digital frauds, cyber safety and financial planning. They explained common online scams and suggested precautionary measures to safeguard personal and financial information. They also stressed the importance of regular savings and prudent financial management in today's challenging economic environment. Addressing the gathering, Sh. Savinder Gupta Ji appreciated the efforts of Tawi Welfare Society and the Art of Living team for organizing such a meaningful programme. He emphasized that spreading awareness among people is one of the most effective forms of social service and encouraged participants to share the knowledge gained with others in their communities. Among the prominent dignitaries present on the occasion were Sh. Raghubir Singh Manhas and Sh. Subash Chander Sharma, both noted social personalities.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks. Participants appreciated the initiative and described the event as highly informative and beneficial. The programme successfully enhanced awareness on health, nutrition, hygiene, stress management, digital safety and financial literacy, reaffirming Tawi Welfare Society's commitment to community welfare and social development.
